HD Artistry Battles
Our intention is to improve and provide our audience with a new perspective on Hip Hop in Switzerland. Every year, Hip Hop has gained more importance in the country and it is important for us to lead by example for our younger fans and artists.
HDTB is not only for hardcore Hip Hop scene-goers, but also for families and children. Instead of youth facing aggression and violence, we engage kids with breakdance events and give them the opportunity to showcase their passion for B-Boying in their region. By participating in this battle, we give them a goal and motivation that should be rewarded with a prize. For the audience, we offer an unforgettable, harmonious afternoon with family and/or friends. A new era has begun and the Streetmind Team is taking this opportunity to create something new.
HDTB is a breakdance event that took place for the first time on March 19, 2011 at Binzstrasse 23. It is not a typical battle, but rather a unique event. HDTB is a battle series consisting of 13 events per year. For the 12 battles, 12 HD Ready B-Boys and B-Girls are selected and at the end of the year, they get the chance to compete against 4 invited breakdance legends at the 13th battle.
The winner of each series receives the title of HD Ready B-Boy/B-Girl. They are not allowed to participate in the battles for the rest of the year until the 13th and final battle. The winner of the 13th round receives the title of High Definition B-Boy/B-Girl. The event features various surprises and a top-class lineup!
In the past, breakdance greats such as Peter aka Warez Suicide Life Style Crew (World Champion 1999, Winner of The Battle of The Year International), Mercy Ghost Rockz (2-time Swiss Champion), Toschkin (New Comer, winner of different battles), Bon Ghost Rockz (2-time Swiss Champion), Fabian Ghost Rockz (2-time Swiss Champion), B-Boy Atomic (Croatia), and B-Boy Funky Maya (Mexico) have been seen at HDTB events. In terms of DJs, past HDTB events have featured T-Shot 4 Tune DJ, K-Rim 4 Tune DJ, and DJ Spruzzi.

At this point, I would like to express my gratitude to the winners of the first battle: Buz, No Mercy, Bon, and Fabian, who each managed to hold their own against 16 B-Boys. They all came together to make HDTB a reality and to give the Swiss Hip Hop scene an authentic representation of our culture. The true meaning of Hip Hop was palpable in the atmosphere. With only two weeks of preparation, High Definition The Battle was created and already at the first event, we had 50 visitors and 16 breakdancers who registered. To ensure that this success continues in the future, we plan to continue with HDTB every month, with an even more extensive offering of artists, equipment, and surprises. However, this achievement is still missing one thing – a solid foundation that will allow us to realize our dream for a longer period of time. Since we are dependent on financial support for this large project, we have developed various options for you to take advantage of our event and bring benefits to your company.
